four languages; active in politics since 1959; introduced Master Plan; worked for Lalpur
Narmada Water Project; organised Fifth National Women Sports Competition in Jabalpur; got
permission for steel staff yard from Central Government; got constructed working womens
hostels, Madhya Pradesh; established sports complex and training centre and constructed
childrens’ parks; opened, (i) Saiaswah Higher Secondary School; and (ii) Viklang Sewa Bharti
for the handicapped, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh; utilised Rs. 1.5 crore for various
developmental schemes such as construction of roads for Narmada Drinking Water Project and
for organising women’s sports at national level in the constituency
