The fresh news update revealed that ‘Mardaani‘ has now exempted from entertainment tax in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav liked the film and he announced tax-free status of the film. This production venture by Yash Raj Films is gaining positive response from the viewers and critics. Rani plays a fierce Crime Branch officer, who strives hard to solve the case of human trafficking.
