Literary Artistic & Scientific Accomplishments
Produced more than 100 films in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Bengali languages in a span of 37
years, since 1963 to 2000; brought some of the best Telugu movies on to celluliod such as `Premnagar`,
Jeevana Tarangalu`, `Secretary`, `Chakravakam`, Asuk (Bengali) etc; established the sprawling
Ramanaidu Studio with State-of-the-art facilities and equipments such as re-recording theatre, dubbing
theatre, preview theatre, editing studio and also a new audio, video studio with computerised video film
making, processing, recording and non-linear editing facility and also rural backdrop, courthall, police
station, hospital, highway, rural houses etc.; set up Nanakramguda Studio with ultramodern bungalows;
maintains a distribution network with offices all over Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, Chennai, etc.; introduced
scores of artists, directors, musicians, technicians, etc.; often taking a risk of crores of rupees.
Social And Cultural Activities
Built a Kalyana Mandapam at Karamchedu and a Kalamandapam at Hyderabad; set up Ramanaidu
Charitable Trust; donated 10 acres of prime land worth 30 to 40 lakh rupees for establishing an old age
home and spent a few million rupees for facilities and comfort of the inmates; earmarked five acres of land
for an orphange to be set up with modern medical facilities; donated one million rupees to Andhra Cultural
Association, Madras and one million rupees for construction of a modern building to house the A.P. Film
Chamber of Commerce; mobilised 1500 life memberships of exhibitors of Cinema to create a financial
base for Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce, thereby generating a fund of two and half million
rupees; instituted Ramanaidu Award, which is given every year to the best director fo Kannada moves;
conferrred honorary Doctorate by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, for his outstanding contribution
to the development of film industry; in addition, donated proclainer worth 30 lakhs for common use in the
Bapatla Parliamentary Constituency, 70 lakhs to Karamchedu village panchayat for widening and
developing of roads and renovations/digging of drinking water tanks under JANMA BHUMI works
and 30 lakhs for construction of eye hospitals
Other Information
Entered Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records for producing the maximum number
of films during his career in Indian Cinema; received international recognition when, film Soggadu was
selected for Tashkent Film Fetival in 1976; received several awards for achievements in film-making
viz. (i) A.P. Cine Goers Association Awards (Best Film maker of `Jeevana Tarangalu`); (ii) A.P. State
Awards Committees Special Award for the making of best film `Ahana Pellanta`; (iii) South Indian
Journalists Association (Hyd.) award for the making of best film `Kathanayakudu`; (iv) Vamsi Art
Theatres International Award, 1983-92, (Best Film maker of the Decade); (v) Gudavalli Rama Bramham
Award as best film producer and award of title `Abinava Andhra Bhoja`; (vi) Suri Gadu film selected for
Indian Panorma – 1993; (vii) A.P. State Awards Committee (1994) Award to ` Andhra Vaibhavam`
( it won five Nandi awards); (viii) 12th Anniversary Hemant Arts Award 1995 (Best Producer); (ix)
Rasamavi-Silver Jubilee Award 95 (Best Producer); (x) Film and T.V. Institute of Hyderabad Award
95(Best Producer); (xi) Ragavendra Theatres Award (Best Producer); (xii) Silver Jubilee Year of Vamsi
Arts Theatres International Award; (xiii) A.P. Cine Goers Association Award (Best Film Distributor);
(xiv) Dr. L.V. Prasad Award (Best Producer); (xv) Peerles Film Awards (1982-1992) (Best Producer
of the decade); (xvi) Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award 1996( awarded by National Unity Conference
on 77th birthday of former Prime Minister of India Smt Indira Gandhi) for outstanding contribution to
Film Industry; received the Best Producer Award at the 46th National Film Festival, New Delhi, 1999
for the Bengali Film `Asuk`
