Calcutta, May 12, 1926; ed. at Bombay University; participated in the
Management Course of the American Managment  Association, New York and
the First  Advanced Management Programme in  India of AIMA and MIT, U.S.A.; married ; 2 s. and 1 d.;   Industrialist ; Director of
several companies; previously associated with the Congress; participated
in the 1942 movement and in the movement for liberation of Junagadh from
accession to Pakistan; was Joint Secretary of Junagadh Rajya Praja Mandal;
was Founder-Chairman, Steel Furnace Association of India; Chairman, Steel
Re-Rolling Mills Association of India; Vice-Chairman, Mukand Iron and Steel
Works Ltd.; Member, (1) Technical Committee on Assessment of Re-Rolling
capacity, Government of India; (2) Maharashtra State Advisory Council of
Industries; (3) Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce
and Industry, New Delhi; (4) Committee of the Indian Merchants Chamber,
Bombay.
