supply of electricity and drinking water; provision of adult
education and other civic amenities in the constitutency; as

industrial disputes in the Bangalore region; Member (Director),
Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), 1983-89; took keen interest
in matters concerning BDA; arranged for allotment of more than 50,000
sites, including allotment of alternate sites to compensate for the 
agricultural land acquired for developmental purposes by the BDA;
and also allotment of 10,000 homes to the economically weaker sections
of the society; as Vice-President of State Unit of B.J.P., 1994-98;
actively participated in various party programmes and mission of 
spreading the ideals of the party in the constitutency
