Obama, GOP leaders test their will for compromise

WASHINGTON (AP) — Saying that good ideas don’t necessarily come from one party, President Barack Obama said Friday that bipartisan cooperation to advance a variety of issues is possible as long as the White House and a Republican-run Congress “set politics aside for a moment.”
