Accident: Air condition burst on the sets of Diya Aur Baati…

It is absolute chaos currently on the sets of Diya Aur Baat Hum (Shahsi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd) situated at Mira Road, Mumbai.

Reason? An air conditioner burst leading to panic.

Says a source from the sets: “Just few moments ago we were shooting in the ‘home’ part of the location. Suddenly one of the a/cs burst causing smoke. Everyone ran in panic.”

When we spoke to Neelu Vaghela aka Bhabho she shared with a stressed tone: “It’s scary. Suddenly the a/c burst and we ran. They are still checking out the scenario.”

Indian film producers sign pact to collaborate with Canadian counterparts

Washington, July 3 (ANI): An agreement has been recently signed between India and Canada that would allow film producers in both countries to share resources on joint film and TV projects. India, and its giant Bollywood film industry, from July 1 became the 54th country to have an official co-production treaty with Canada, the Hollywood Reporter reported. The agreement would permit film producers in both countries to tap into various incentives and tax breaks offered by both the governments.

Inspired by Oscar-winning Hollywood director Woody Allen’s three wittiest stories — “The Lunatics Tale”, “Retribution” and “Remembering Needleman”, the Indian adaptation of “Side-Effects” will be staged Saturday and Sunday at Alliance Française in the capital. BJP’s Vijay Jolly attacked in Nepal

Kathmandu, July 3 (IANS) Vijay Jolly, the BJP’s overseas affairs convenor, was Thursday attacked by a mob here while returning after addressing a meeting of Nepal’s ruling coalition partner CPN-UML. The Bharatiya Janata Party had sent Jolly and two other leaders, Ajit Kumar and Saurabh Gupta, to attend the convention of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist. According to Nepali journalist Rishi Dhamala, chairman of the Reporters Club, Kathmandu, the BJP leader was attacked by CPN-UML cadres with water bottles.

MEA, Indian mission in Iraq trying to secure quick release of stranded Indians: Chandy

New Delhi, July 3 (ANI): Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy said here on Thursday that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Indian Embassy in Iraq are trying their best to secure the release of stranded Indians at the earliest. Talking about his meeting with the External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj he said she is taking a keen interest in the security of all stranded Indians. Congress Member of Parliament (MP) from Kerala Ramesh Chennithala, who was also present at the press conference addressed by Chandy, said the nurses are safe and the MEA is doing everything for their safety. The MEA also said that there are about 1500 Indians who have registered to leave Iraq, and around 900 of them have already been provided tickets to fly out of Iraq.
