Allegations against Rajnath’s son ‘baseless’: Sharad Yadav

New Delhi, Aug. 27 (ANI): Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav on Wednesday termed the allegations against Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj as ‘baseless’. Speaking at a press conference, Yadav said that he has known Rajnath Singh for the past 40 years, and added that the current Home Minister is a man with a clean image. The Union Home Minister earlier in the day denied reports about him and his family seeking political favours and said that he will quit politics if these allegations are found to be true.

Congress questions PMO’S defence of Rajnath, son

New Delhi, Aug. 27 (ANI): Criticizing the NDA Government for coming to the rescue of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh over media reports that alleged misconduct by his son Pankaj, the Congress Party on Wednesday said the Centre needed to reveal the content of the allegations to the nation instead of issuing clarifications. Congress leader Ajay Maken said, “The Congress would like to know what allegation Rajnathji and his son are facing which are being denied,” said Maken. “The country wants to know, the Congress Party wants to know what exactly the allegation against his son is. We are asking Rajnath Singhji, we are asking Prime Minister Narendra Modiji why you are all giving such clarifications and statements,” he added.

BJP leader Sadhvi Prachi demands security from Government

New Delhi, Aug. 27 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sadhvi Prachi today demanded security from the government, claiming that she had been attacked several times. Criticising the Uttar Pradesh Government for not taking her demands seriously, Prachi said that she has been attacked two-three times, and is receiving continuous threats, but the state government is not taking her request to grant security seriously. ‘Mardaani’ gets tax-free in Uttar Pradesh

We earlier reported about Rani Mukherjee‘s latest release ‘Mardaani‘ achieving tax-free status in Madhya Pradesh and now, the film has become tax-free in one more state. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh was delighted to see ‘Mardaani‘ along with his family and declared the film as tax-free.

The fresh news update revealed that ‘Mardaani‘ has now exempted from entertainment tax in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav liked the film and he announced tax-free status of the film. This production venture by Yash Raj Films is gaining positive response from the viewers and critics. Rani plays a fierce Crime Branch officer, who strives hard to solve the case of human trafficking. The film imparts a powerful message to the audience and empowers women to fight against the injustice.
