Kareena Kapoor replaces Kajol in Ram Madhwani’s next

Kajol has lost her comeback venture ‘Penoza’ to actress Kareena Kapoor.

Post her second-pregnancy, Kajol preferred to stay away from the rolling camera to concentrate in the upbringing of her kids- Nyasa and Yug. Just when she felt her kids are settling, she decided to mark her comeback with Ram Madhwani‘s ‘Penoza’, an adaptation of Dutch TV series. But somehow the deal didn’t work out and they amicably decided to part their ways. This made Ram Madhwani approach Kareena Kapoor, who was seen sharing screen with Kajol in ‘We Are Family‘.

It is said that Kareena has liked the basic premises of the film and is likely to give her nod after going through the entire script. ‘Penoza’ is the story of a mother who steps into the crime world to protect her three children and trace her husband’s killer, who was a mafia-kingpin.

Rohit Shetty does cameo in ‘Shamitabh’

Energetic filmmaker Rohit Shetty possesses an impressive personality which is more than enough to be an actor in Bollywood; still he prefers to work behind the camera. But for all those who kindle the wish of seeing him on celluloid someday, there’s good news for them as they will get to see him in a cameo role in R. Balki‘s forthcoming film ‘Shamitabh‘.

As per the sources, Balki has ensemble of cast of directors Karan Johar, Gauri Shinde, Rajkumar Hirani, Anurag Basu, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Mahesh Bhatt and Rohit Shetty for a significant part in ‘Shamitabh‘, where they all will be seen playing themselves. But the details of their subjected role and plot of the film are kept wrapped.

Releasing next year in February, ‘Shamitabh‘ stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in the lead role.

Sukriti …sorry…Sukirti Kandpal has been eliminated from season 8 of Colors’ celeb reality show Bigg Boss produced by Endemol India.

The show anchored by Salman Khan has failed to garner audience interest so far, the prominent reason, as per buzz on social media, is its unimpressive lot of contestants.

Sukirti and contestant Gautam Gulati were the ones in the elimination radar, but finally Sukirti bit the dust. She in her brief Bigg Boss journey came across as a meek individual, who failed to add masala to the series.
