Siddharth Malhotra to romance his first crush Katrina Kaif

Siddharth Malhotra once revealed that Katrina Kaif was his first crush and also expressed desire to work with her someday. Less did he know that Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are hearing him and will reportedly cast them together in their next film.

As per the sources, Excel Entertainment has hired Siddharth to romance Katrina in their next untitled film, which is based on a high concept love story. The film will go on the floor by middle of the next year, when Kat finishes off with her prior work commitments.

It is said that earlier Aamir Khan was going to star in this romantic film, but then the financial clauses didn’t work out. As a result, producers Ritesh and Farhan had to look out for a fresh pair.

Taking you behind the camera, it is said that big-time foodie Abhishek Bachchan used to spoil his ‘Happy New Year‘ team by indulging them in best cuisine of various cities, which they visited during the shoots and promotions. Whereas, Sonu used to encourage the team to work out as much as possible, so that they can lose the extra calories which they have gained because of Abhishek.

Directed by Farah Khan, ‘Happy New Year‘ is all set to mark its release on October 24.

Salman Khan takes up Swachh Bharat Campaign

On October 2, Prime Minister initiated “Swachh Bharat” campaign to make India free from dirt and nominated nine celebrities to take part in this cleanliness drive. Amongst those celebs, Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan were also nominated by him.

Here comes Salman to fulfill the responsibility by participating in the “Swachh Bharat” campaign cleaning the garbage in Karjat city of Maharashtra. He posted the picture of his act with a caption, “I once again thank @narendramodi for taking up the Swachh Bharat initiative and nominating me. First, I nominate my fans on Facebook and followers on Twitter. Each one of us can make a difference. And I nominate Aamir Khan, Azim Premji, Chanda Kochhar, Omar Abdullah, Pradeep Dhoot, Rajat Sharma, Rajinikanth & Vineet Jain.”

Following this in the words of appreciation, PM Narendra Modi wrote “The effort by Salman Khan is a significant one that will inspire several people to join Swachh Bharat Mission.”

Apoorva Lakhia’s biopic on Haseena Parkar vanishes with the time

We had earlier informed you that filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has approached actress Rani Mukherjee to star in mafia kingpin Dawood Ibrahim’s younger sister Haseena Parkar’s role. But now, this hard hitting news has fizzled out just being a rumour.

In the recent media interaction, Apoorva cleared the air around Haseena Parkar’s biopic saying that though he thought of making a film on her life, nothing got materialized as her family wanted creative control over the film to ensure that she is not getting portrayed in unsavory light. Also, a source revealed that Rani won’t be signing any new films for awhile now.

Thus, the “much-talked” about biopic has got vanished with the time.

Saif poses with pants down

Actor-producer Saif Ali Khan was caught and clicked with his pants down while shooting for his new film “Happy Ending”.

As directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK shot “Happy Ending” at various locations in California, so to save time, Saif started changing at the shooting spot instead of going back to his vanity van.

“Saif got so comfortable changing at the shooting spot that it almost became a familiar sight of him with his pants down, so I couldn’t resist taking a pic and Saif happily posed,” Nidimoru said in a statement.

If the masses loved her in movies like “Highway” and “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania”, Alia Bhatt has again won many a heart. Her latest short film “Going Home”, based on women’s safety, has gone viral on social networking site. The actress says the film is close to her.

The video was put on YouTube Oct 17 and it was accompanied by a post from its director Vikas Bahl that read: “I pledge to create a short film titled ‘Going Home‘, in which we visualise a utopia for women, where, unlike today, mistrust and fear don’t dictate actions and decisions.”

Gadkari could be in Maharashtra CM race
