Jennifer Winget to romance director Kunal Kohli in Phir Se

Director Kunal Kohli has now turned actor with “Phir Se”, a film that will mark his big-screen debut. Kunal who has made his mark as a director with films like Hum Tum and Fanaa is pretty gung ho about his new acting venture.

The movie is being produced by Shiv Kumar and will be directed by Kunal Kohli himself along with and Ajay Bhuyan and deals with the complexities of a new romance and a second attempt at a happily ever after.

Also starring Jennifer Winget of Dil Mill Gayye, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka and Saraswatichandra fame, Phir Se is set and will be shot in London.

16th Mumbai Film Festival to open today

After struggling to stand on its feet post the exit of chief sponsors Reliance, the 16th Mumbai Film Festival is finally up and running courtesy Bollywood who chipped in to keep India’s premiere film festival afloat. The festival still shorn of its usual grandeur will commence this evening with an opening ceremony that will be held at single screen theater, Chandan.

Attending the event would be Bollywood bigwigs Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, French actress Catherine Deneuve and Helen.

Pooja Bhatt returns back to screen with ‘Mr. Chaalu’

Actor turned director Pooja Bhatt went behind the cameras after giving her last screen appearance in film ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine!‘ After 13 long years, she is ready to return back to the silver screen palying a no-nonsense detective in Reema Kagti‘s film ‘Mr. Chaalu‘.

As per the sources, Reema wrote the script keeping Tabu in mind to play the detective’s role. But, producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani found Pooja to be more appealing to play the Desi Sherlock Holmes. Therefore, Ritesh messaged ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin‘ actress asking “Are you still acting?”, to which she shot back texting: “Once an actor, always an actor.” And this is how Pooja’s comeback got on steady wheels.

Mr. Chaalu‘ stars Saif Ali Khan in a Casanova’s character, while Kangana Ranaut plays his love interest and Richa Chadda appears another woman in their passoinate relationship. The film will go on the floor in early 2015.
