Controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik has landed on the wrong side of the law in her own country. Veena along with hubby Asad Bashir Khan and anchor Mir-Shakil-Ur-Rahman have been sentenced to 26 years in prison by an anti-terrorism court for allegedly airing a blasphemous programme.

The 43-year-old, who was competing with actresses Sadie Robertson and Janel Parrish in the finale, was Tuesday awarded the Mirror Ball trophy by the judges alongside his professional partner Witney Carson, reports the hollywoodreporter.com.

“You were my trophy the entire season,” Ribeiro told his dance partner, following the results.

In India, “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” is the spin-off of the popular US show.
