Saif Ali Khan and Ranvir Shorey miffed on the sets of ‘Happy Ending’

Otherwise seen in calm and jovial mood, Saif Ali Khan lost his cool on his co-star Ranvir Shorey while performing a scene in their upcoming film ‘Happy Ending‘.

Reportedly, Ranvir felt that the dialogues were incorrect and needed some alteration. While, Saif didn’t agree and disapproved his idea of making any changes. This disagreement resulted into a quarrel between both of them, which in turn caused an awkward atmosphere on the set. Both gave their shots without any interaction off the camera. However, the situation came back to normal when they sorted out their differences after the pack-up.

In ‘Happy Ending‘, Ranvir and Saif will be seen as close buddies, dozing one vodka shot after the other.

Abis Rizvi organizes special screening of ‘Roar’ for star-kids

Producer Abis Rizvi treated Bollywood’s star kids by organizing a special screening of his latest release ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ for them at INOX theatre in Mumbai.

Kids of Sohail Khan, Atul Agnihotri, Farah Khan, Aditi Govitrikar and many other Bollywood celebrities were present at the screening event. After watching the film, they gave their rave reviews about it. Many of them were heard appreciating its VFX effects which made them experience the reserves of Sunderban sitting in the Mumbai’s multiplex.

‘Happy New Year’ is all set to make a new record

First weekend collection counted Rupees 157.57 Cr, while the second weekend collection of ‘Happy New Year‘ stands to Rupees 247.62 Cr at the box-office.

First Weekend Box-office collection of ‘Super Nani’

Last Friday, majorly two films ‘Super Nani‘ and ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ hit the silver screen. Both of them had their respective pros and cons. Where, ‘Super Nani‘ had prominent star cast on the board, ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ lacked in it. ‘Super Nani‘ was based on the outdated social drama, while ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ introduced the audience to the next-gen VFX effects.

As mentioned earlier, ‘Super Nani‘ brought the social drama on screen, which was popular back in 70s and early 80s. Therefore, it got hard time to sustain its position in the mind of 21st century’s audience. As a result, the first weekend box-office collection of ‘Super Nani‘ remained limited to Rupees 1.45 Cr.

With this, here we announce ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ as the winner of last week’s release race.

Wrapping up the shoots of ‘Phantom‘, director Kabir Khan gave kick start to his next venture ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘, today in the capital.

Taking to Twitter, Kabir announced the start by writing, “7:30 am on the banks of Yamuna in Delhi… #BajrangiBhaijaan begins” along with a picture.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘ is Kabir’s second film with Salman Khan, after ‘Ek Tha Tiger‘. In the recent media interaction, he claimed his new venture to be far more different than the earlier one. It revolves around the plot of a Muslim guy falling in love with a Hindu girl.

Amitabh Bahchan goes cycling on the streets of Kolkata

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is revisiting his childhood days, as he cycles around the streets of Kolkata while shooting for his upcoming film ‘Piku‘.

Before beginning the venture, Big B took social networking site Facebook to share his excitement by writing “In ‘PIKU land’…!! Too many memories flashing by as the drive from the airport ends .. but so much more to come in the days ahead. Kolkata shall always hold a special place and space within…’a city of joy that energises with the intellect and passion !!”

Sr. Bachchan was seen cycling around the majestic gothic-styled Writer’s building on the B B D Bagh area. He was in his ‘Piku‘ avatar adorning kurta, navy blue coloured sleeveless jacket with sneakers and a hat.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, ‘Piku‘ will explore the relationship of a father and daughter, played by Big B and Deepika Padukone, respectively.

First Weekend Box-Office Collection of ‘Roar’

An adventure attempt of director Kamal Sadanah did turned many heads with it’s out of the track subject, but did it turn those heads towards the theatre. Let’s check it out with first weekend box-office collection of ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘.

Clearing the battle ground, ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ garnered decent numbers at the box-office on its opening day with Rupees 1.60 Cr. On Saturday, the numbers elevated marginally by 15% making the film earn Rupees 1.80 Cr. Sunday didn’t made much difference, as again ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ added Rupees 1.80 Cr in its kitty. Therefore, the overall first weekend box-office collection of ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ is Rupees 5.20 Cr.

With the par excellence cinematography and VFX effects, ‘Roar – Tigers of the Sundarbans‘ attracted the audience towards the single screens of small town and multiplexes of metros.

Veteran actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passes away

Veteran actor Sadashiv known for his stellar performances in films like ‘Ardh Satya‘ and ‘Sadak‘, breathed his last breathe at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubahi Ambani Hospital on Monday morning.

The 64-years-old actor was admitted to the hospital, after getting detected with the lung infection. Few days back, his daughter Reema Amrapurkar cited that his health was improving. But then all hopes crashed when he stopped responding to the medicines and today he passed away.

Though, his career mainly focused him in villainous roles, yet Amrapurkar always worked for the betterment of the society in his real life. With his niche performance in films and theatre, he had built a benchmark for himself.
