Prior to this, Asin has also donated her blood in a blood donation camp. Talking about her future projects, Asin will next be seen alongside Abhishek Bachchan in the film ‘All Is Well‘ by Umesh Shukla. After garnering thumbs up in ‘Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty‘, the rocking dude Akshay Kumar is all set to offer a dose of action to the audience in his next ‘Baby‘. The film ‘Baby‘ has unleashed its first look poster and it gives a hint at the film to be an out and out action-affair loaded with fights and punches.

The first look poster of ‘Baby‘ depicts the lead actor Akshay Kumar wearing a cap, sporting moustache and shades on his eyes. He looks macho in this look and shows intense and fierce facial expressions. The poster also shows Akshay chasing goon.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film ‘Baby‘ also stars Taapsee Pannu. The movie releases on January 23, 2015.

First weekend box-office collection of ‘Mardaani’

Filled with unbeatable enthusiasm to fight back against the wrong, ‘Mardaani‘ hit the theatres last Friday. Even after getting acclaimed by the critics, its fortune at the box-office wasn’t that bright on the first day. But with good word of mouth its business has grown over the weekend.

Made up of the total budget of INR 20 Cr approximately, ‘Mardaani‘ was released in 1300+ screens nationwide. On the first day it got below the average occupancy of barely 20-30% and collected INR 3.75 Cr. But on Saturday it witnessed hike of 30% at the ticket counter making it earn INR 4.75 Cr, while on Sunday it made the business of INR 5.5 Cr. Therefore, the total first weekend box-office collection of ‘Mardaani‘ is INR 12 Cr.

Mardaani‘ being a women centric film Rani Mukherjee has carried the entire film on her shoulders while chasing after the goons and standing up for the deprived women. Based on the sensitive issue of child trafficking, it is the first film of Yash Raj Films banner to receive the A-grade certificate.

‘Mardaani’ will not hit the screens in Pakistan

Rani Mukherjee starrer ‘Mardaani‘ released in India on August 22, is the first Yash Raj Films with an ‘A’ certificate from the Censor Board. The movie revolves around the topic of human trafficking and it also received ‘A’ certificate from the Pakistan Film Censor Board.

However, the reports revealed that ‘Mardaani‘ will not release in Pakistan, as they demanded a few changes. Seven cuts were demanded as well as there was a requirement of some scenes to be blurred. These changes could not be fulfilled as it would have been a loss of the narration of the movie’s essence and distortion of the movie’s message, as thought by the creative team. The further news update stated that the internal discussion among the team came with a decision that ‘Mardaani‘ will not release in Pakistan.
