Rohit Shetty‘s upcoming directorial venture ‘Singham Returns‘ is buzzing the town with power-packed news updates. This sequel of the 2011 blockbuster ‘Singham‘ promises to be bigger and better with creme de la creme action stunts. The movie features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor and Amole Gupte in the lead roles.

Going by the latest news update, ‘Singham Returns‘ has unleashed its first ‘five’ looks depicting the various moods of the film. In the first poster, the film unveils its logo with a lion’s face, while the other poster displays beefed-up Ajay Devgn with a pistol in his hand at the backdrop of Gate of India. The third one also shows Ajay holding a pistol at the backdrop of a bridge. Another poster showcases the Ajay and Kareena wearing cool shades with intense facial expressions. The other one shows Ajay standing with guns in his hands at the backdrop of blowing up cars, which is the signature style of Rohit Shetty. The fifth poster depicts Ajay with pistol in his hand with the backdrop of a huge police force. All the posters of ‘Singham Returns‘ shows the tagline “August 15, Join The Fight!”

The lead star Ajay Devgn took Twitter to unravel the first look of this action-entertainer. The various tweets posted by Ajay say, “Singham ki dahaad goonjegi aaj raat 11 baze.. Are you ready for @SinghamReturns ??? #SinghamReturns”.

The action-treat ‘Singham Returns‘ will release its much-awaited first promo on July 11.

The director Sai Kabir gained rave reviews for his venture ‘Revolver Rani‘ featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead. And once again, the director will work with Kangana. Sai Kabir has roped in Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan for his upcoming Indo-French project ‘Divine Lovers’. Recently, the French Film Commission (FFC) gave a green signal to the project, although the script of ‘Divine Lovers’ was pitched by the director Kabir earlier.

The French connection of the film took a further step, as the director Kabir has been mentored by the Chief Operating Officer of the commission, Franck Priot. Apparently, Priot has even assisted Kabir in searching for the co-producer of the film and it will be co-produced by Leonard Glowinski. The movies like ‘Alexander’ and ‘Unknown’ are the co-production venture of Glowinski.

Revolving around the theme of “India Shining” myth and its false promises of hope, the film ‘Divine Lovers’ is a love tale. The film is expected to be shot extensively in Mumbai, Bhopal and Aligarh. The co-production work of the flick will be done in France, reportedly. ‘Divine Lovers’ will see Kangana and Irrfan in their de-glam avatars.

Yes, you read it right! After the recent ‘Humshakals‘ team of Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor, now it’s Varun Dhawan‘s turn to play a trio role in his upcoming film ‘Badlapur’. But, this young chap has tried something different.

Varun’s character will be seen spanning the three generations, altogether in this one film. Therefore, he will be experimenting with his physical attributes to fit in the various stages of his character’s life, where initially he will be sporting as a slim lad, later he will be gaining few kilos to get a matured man out of him. Sounds exciting, isn’t it?

‘Badlapur’ also stars Yami Gautam as Varun’s wife and Huma Qureshi as a cunning prostitute with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a pivotal role.

The female detective tale ‘Bobby Jasoos‘ featured Vidya in totally different avatars. The actress was showered with praises from B-Town people and the film was loved by the stars. The gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandez is on the verge of exploring her culinary skills and as we reported earlier, the actress is going to open her restaurant in her homeland Sri Lanka.

Jacqueline will be some time off from her busy schedule in the next week and will fly down to Colombo, Sri Lanka for the opening of her eatery, Kaema Sutra. Kaema in Sinhala implies food, revealed Jacqueline. The Japanese chief chef Dharshan has given a continental touch to the hotel and the eatery will offer traditional Sri Lankan delicacies to the visitors. Talking about her new restaurant, Jacqueline stated that the place will have a homely touch and the menu card will have some delicious recipes from her grandmother’s kitchen. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be attended by Jacqueline along with her mother and sister. Her father cannot be a part of the function.

The much-talked about forthcoming venture of Vishal Bhardwaj, ‘Haider‘ is once again in the news. The movie is the desi-adaptation of William Shakespeare’s famous ‘Hamlet’. Going by the latest report, the trailer of ‘Haider‘ will be released on July 8.

‘Haider‘ is a love story featuring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu. It is being said that the flick will contain some intimate love-making scenes between Shahid and Tabu. Bhardwaj’s earlier ventures like ‘Omkara‘ and ‘Maqbool‘ were also inspired by the Shakespearean works like ‘Othello’ and ‘Macbeth’, respectively. These films earned the critical acclaim to the director. Set at the scenic locales of Jammu and Kashmir, the film will see Shahid in a different look. The uncommon rendering of the characters has upped the curiosity of the audience pertaining to the film’s storyline.

The talented actor Irrfan Khan is known for his impeccable performance in his films and now, the actor will have one more feather in his hat! Going by the fresh news update, the Indian actors Irrfan Khan and Tillotama Shome bagged the Best Actor Award for their Punjabi movie ‘Qissa’ at recently held International Film Festival of Queensland in Australia.

Geneva-based Anup Singh won the Best Director award for the same flick. The award function concluded on July 2. The director Singh posted on his Facebook page, “Irrfan Khan is with me in Geneva at the moment. We’re celebrating and look forward to celebrating with the ‘Qissa’ team soon,” The movie ‘Qissa’ narrated a story of a girl, who was raised as a boy. The flick also won the Best Cinematography award for Sebastian Edschmid.

‘Qissa’ was also premiered at various film festivals including Toronto International Film Festival, Curacao International Film Festival, Abu Dhabi Internationa Film Festival, Mumbai Film Festival and International Film Festival Rotterdam, reportedly. This Punjabi flick is now scheduled to be screened at the Munich International Film Festival to be held in Germany and will hit the screens in Germany on July 10. The select theatres will showcase the film in dubbed version as well as the original version will be released with English subtitles. ‘Qissa’ is expected to release in India in September, as per the report.

A famous magazine, Gionee FHM 100 recently conducted a poll to hunt for the sexiest woman in the world. According to the poll results, the leggy lass Deepika Padukone is voted as the World’s Sexiest Woman by the readers of the magazine.

Obviously, Deepika is excited by this achievement of hers, but she also revealed that she will not take it too seriously. Now, Deepika will feature on the cover page of the magazine and she unleashed it at an event held in Mumbai. Talking about being voted as the World’s Sexiest Woman, Deepika stated that it felt great and it was nice being praised in the way the people voted for her. The actress gives its credit to all of her movies and the characters essayed by her till now.
