The movie has evoked good response and the actor says romantic films with older couples can be a good watch too. “I feel even old people can do a nice love story, but here we don’t make that kind of films. Co-produced by DreamWorks Pictures, Reliance Entertainment and Oprah Winfrey, the culture-clash drama-comedy has been praised by international media as “a trip worth taking”.

Los Angeles, Aug 18 (IANS) Hollywood actor Robin Williams did not plan his suicide, says a confidante of the Oscar winning actor. Tmz.com reports that the confidante of Robin’s, who spoke with him the day before his body was discovered, had a fairly lengthy discussion about several deals in the works and Robin was “completely engaged in the conversation”. The confidante says there was nothing out of the ordinary during the conversation. “He (Robin) was unhappy which he often was, but it was nothing unusual.” As for why Robin was unhappy, the source says Robin, like lots of other comedians, “lived in a dark place.” No one in Robin’s life, including his wife or personal assistant, had any idea suicide was looming.

New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS) Singer Nakash Aziz, who grew up listening to A.R. Rahman’s music, feels fortunate to work with him in the Hollywood venture “The Hundred-Foot Journey” and says the Oscar-winning composer has got a powerful aura around him. The Mangalore guy has crooned “Afreen” for the film helmed by Swedish director Lasse Hallstrom and to a soundtrack composed by Rahman. “Rahman sir has been kind enough to trust me with his work. I’ve heard his songs right from ‘Roja’ to ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’.

New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS) Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables 3” is set for Friday release in India and the Hollywood action star wishes “luck” to “Indian Rambo” Ajay Devgn and his new film “Singham Returns”. “I think we are releasing against the Indian Rambo in India. Best of luck to ‘Singham’ and Ajay Devgn,” the “Rambo” star said in a statement.

Infinite Studios started in 1997 as a film post-production company with 13 people. In part building on the success of Garfield, it has diversified into creating its own content production as well as animation and visual effects, with facilities that employ 200 people in Indonesia and Singapore. Southeast Asia has been emerging as a film production centre, with an expanding local workforce and growing exports to the region or even to the traditional creative powerhouses like the United States and Europe.

Mumbai, Aug 18 (IANS) TV show “Chance of a Lifetime”, being hosted by Hollywood-based Indian producer Ashok Amritraj, will go on air Aug 19 on Doordarshan (DD). The eight episode TV series has been made in collaboration with the United Nations. To be aired at 10.30 p.m., it will see some major Hollywood stars like George Clooney promoting humanitarian causes. “It’s been such a wonderful experience working with my friends at the United Nations and watching these young filmmakers from diverse cultures forge partnerships to create socially relevant documentaries,” Amritraj said in a statement.

Washington, Aug 18 (ANI): ‘The Expendables 3’ failed to budge ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ from their top positions at the North American box office. Meanwhile, ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ grossed a total of 117.6 million dollars in its second week, and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ stayed put at 2nd position as it grossed a total of 222.3 million dollars in its third weekend domestically. The Marvel movie even crossed 400 million dollars mark at the global box office.

Washington, Aug 18 (ANI): Britney Spears was recently caught lip syncing to Sia Furler’s voice during the ‘piece of me’ show, it has been reported. The incident happened during a video of Saturday night’s performance at Planet Hollywood, where 32-year-old singer was singing the song ‘Perfume’, radaronline.com reported. The Australian singer Furler was featured on an acoustic version of the tune released in January and she also co-wrote the lyrics. Spears’ manager Adam Leber recently confirmed to the lip-syncing reports, claiming it’s “virtually impossible” for the star to sing and dance for 90 minutes but he failed to mention anything about pretending another singer’s voice to be her own.
