Working on education of backward and poor childern, initiated various schemes of public welfare like supplying water to villages, programmes of freeing people from bad habits of smoking, drinking, etc.; worked for abolition of untouchability, cooperative movement, women`s education, gramodyoga and farmer`s federation, worked with Congress Sevadal on various youth activities and inspired them through many cultural activities like national songs, dramas etc. from 1946 to 1970
