London, Aug 26 (ANI): China’s standing committee of the National People’s Congress is holding a week-long conference to discuss how to pick Hong Kong’s next leader. Top leaders from China met yesterday to discuss China’s political future, reported the BBC. Many critics said that China should screen candidates through a nominating committee while China said that citizens of Hong Kong could elect their leader in 2017.
