‘Being gay is not news, says Olympic diver Tom Daley

London, July 18 (ANI): Tom Daley has opened up for the very first time since revealing his sexuality on his YouTube channel and said that “being gay is not news”. During the interview with Attitude magazine, which has named him the crowning glory of their ‘Hot 100 Sexiest Men’ list for the second year in a row, the 20-year-old Olympic medal-winning diver said that he doesn’t think that anyone coming out of the closet should be news, as it doesn’t matters who you choose to be in a relationship with, the Daily Star reported.

No new taxes in Jaitley’s Rs.36,776 crore Delhi budget

New Delhi, July 18 (IANS) Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Friday presented Delhi’s Rs.36,776 crore budget for fiscal 2014-15 in parliament, proposing a new specialty hospital and 100 ambulances for accident victims, while keeping tax rates unchanged. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dismissed the budget as “betrayal” of the people of Delhi, saying that BJP cannot be credited with not introducing fresh taxes as under President’s rule, no new tax is levied when the budget is presented in parliament. The Congress called the budget as “directionless.” The budget also proposes Rs.260 crore power subsidy for small consumers, ranging from Rs.0.80-Rs.1.20 per unit, four new sewage treatment plants, 50 dialysis centres and Rs.2,400 crore for education. Of the total outlay, the maximum amount – Rs.3,702 crore – was set aside for the transport sector which was followed by the allocation of Rs.2,724 crore for the health sector.

Earlier today, there was uproar in the Karnataka Assembly, as the opposition cornered the state government on the issue. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs protested against the Congress Government and demanded the resignation of the state home minister K J George in the wake of the incident. The girl of Vibgyor School on Varthur-Haralur Road, near Kundalahalli Gate was allegedly raped on July 2.

FIFA lifts Nigeria suspension

(Reuters) – Nigeria’s suspension from international football was lifted on Friday, world governing body FIFA said. The African country was banned earlier this month due to government interference in the national federation’s affairs. “FIFA has noted that the court proceedings and order preventing the president of the NFF, the NFF Executive Committee members and the NFF Congress from running the affairs of Nigerian football that prompted the suspension have been withdrawn,” a FIFA statement said.

Reportedly, ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ has unveiled its two first look posters and the film will unleash its trailer on YouTube at 1 pm today. Emraan Hashmi, Humaima Malick starrer ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ is ready to narrate the saga of a conman in typical filmy style.

One of the first look posters features Emraan Hashmi dressed in flamboyant attire walking through small lanes of a city sporting flashy shades in “bhai” style and flipping dices. The other poster shows Emraan and Humaima in a cosy pose. Humaima looks hot in sizzling outfits and reflects curvaceous chemistry with Emraan. The first look poster shows the tagline “Aisa Koi Sagaa Nahi, Jise Isne Thugaa Nahi” and hints at the film to provide a funky entertainment to the audience.

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone to get trained in Kathak and Kalaripayattu

Going by the latest news update, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be trained in Kalaripayattu, an age-old fighting system as well as an ancient martial arts form. The dance exponent Deeksha Sheth will be providing this training to Ranveer and Deepika. The lead duo will be receiving this training for their respective roles in ‘Bajirao Mastani‘, an epic saga. A close source revealed that being a period-drama, Ranveer is required to perform multiple war sequences and the locations has been locked in by Bhansali in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Ranveer’s character needs to master the art of grappling, striking, weaponry and kicking.

Talking about the need of Kalaripayattu for Deepika’s character, the source said she will be seen doing several dance numbers, so she also needs to take lessons in Kathak as well as an extensive training in Kalaripayattu.

Deeksha Sheth holds expertise in various traditional dance-forms like Kalaripayattu, Kathak, Mallakhamb and Chhau.
