Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam to star in ‘Junooniyat’

After ‘Hate Story 2‘, the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is geared up to arrive with his next. This time, Agnihotri will be coming up with a musical love story ‘Junooniyat’. As per the report, ‘Junooniyat’ will star Yami Gautam and Pulkit Samrat in the lead role.

Talking about this, Agnihotri revealed that this film can’t be categorized in rom-com genre, as it’s an unusual romantic tale. The movie is expected to hit the floors by mid of November and will be produced by T-Series, as told by the filmmaker Agnihotri.

Hope ‘Junooniyat’ will offer something special with the fresh star cast of Pulkit and Yami.

White House: Obama authorized U.S. strikes on Mosul Dam in Iraq

The White House on Sunday said President Barack Obama had informed Congress he authorized U.S. air strikes in Iraq to help retake control of the Mosul Dam, and that the action was consistent with his goal of protecting U.S. citizens in that country. “The failure of the Mosul Dam could threaten the lives of large numbers of civilians, threaten U.S. personnel and facilities – including the U.S. embassy in Baghdad – and prevent the Iraqi government from providing critical services to the Iraqi populace,” the White House said in a statement. “These operations are limited in their nature, duration, and scope and are being undertaken in coordination with and at the request of the government of Iraq.” The Mosul Dam fell under the control of Islamic State militants earlier this month.

US destroys armed vehicles of militants in Iraq

Washington, Aug 18 (IANS) US warplanes Sunday destroyed 10 armed vehicles of Islamic militants in their continued air raids near the Mosul Dam in northern Iraq, Xinhua reported. The Central Command said a mix of fighter, bomber, attack and remotely piloted aircraft were used to conduct 14 air strikes aimed at supporting humanitarian efforts, protecting critical infrastructure, US personnel and facilities, as well as backing up Iraqi and Kurdish forces fighting militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) (now known as Islamic State). ISIL’s 10 armed vehicles, seven Humvees, two armoured personnel carriers and one checkpoint were damaged or destroyed in the attacks, the Central Command said in a statement, noting nine strikes were carried out Saturday. President Barack Obama Sunday notified U.S. Congress that he authorized the targeted strikes near Mosul Dam on Thursday to support Iraqi forces in their effort to recapture the dam, Iraq’s largest.
