Bengal hits the road to identify entrepreneurial talent
Kolkata, Aug 16 (IANS) Having made some progress in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, the West Bengal government has now trained officials specifically to hit the streets to scout for entrepreneurial talent. Over 400 officials, trained by the premier Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta (IIM-C), would move from block to block in the districts organising clinics to inform, assist and motivate prospective entrepreneurs to start their own business, an official said. The target is to create 4,000-5,000 new entrepreneurs besides assisting the existing ones. Under the tie-up, IIM-C has been providing technical assistance to the MSME department for developing entrepreneurship and collaborating to organise ‘Synergy’ – a business conclave aimed at providing support and personalised guidance to entrepreneurs.
Subramanian Swamy rubbishes Congress’ internal poll report findings
New Delhi, Aug. 16 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy today rubbished the Congress Party’s poll debacle internal report prepared by a committee headed by senior leader and former defence minister A K Antony, questioning why none of its leaders were being blamed for its removal from power after ten years. Goa MLA has violated dignity of women: Annie Raja
New Delhi, Aug. 16 (ANI): Reacting to of BJP MLA Lavoo Mamledar’s plans for creating a bikini beach in the state, women’s rights activist Annie Raja said on Saturday that the former is violating the dignity of women. It is high time for the Goa Government to intervene in the matter,” said Raja. I don’t know what the BJP and other parties are thinking about women,” she added. Mamledar, who is a former police officer, had said that if tourism had to be promoted and is necessary, then there could be a bikini beach with entry fees in Goa.
Depression common symptom in Parkinson’s patients
Washington, Aug 16 (IANS) Hollywood actor Robin Williams, who hung himself at his home earlier this week, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Now, researchers have confirmed the suspicion that depression is a very common symptom in people suffering from Parkinson’s disease. In fact, depression is the most prevalent non-motor symptom of Parkinson’s – a chronic neurodegenerative disorder typically associated with movement dysfunction, according to a new study by Northwestern Medicine investigators in collaboration with the National Parkinson’s Foundation (NPF). To reach this conclusion, Danny Bega, an instructor in the Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology at Northwestern, analysed data from more than 7,000 patients with Parkinson’s disease followed over a one-year period.

Athiya Shetty to groove on item song in ‘Hero’

Going by the news update, Athiya Shetty will groove on the tunes of an item song in the film ‘Hero’. The famous duo Sachin–Jigar has composed the track and it will have 200 chorus dancers, reportedly. The song will be a fusion of Indian classical as well as Western dance moves. Athiya will look at her glamorous best in this song. As per the sources, the male lead of the film Sooraj Pancholi was also supposed to shake a leg in this song, but the director Nikhil Advani felt that Athiya can carry the entire show on her own.

‘Khoobsurat’ and ‘Raja Natwarlal’ to hit the screens in Pakistan
The crooked relationship between India and Pakistan has affected the entertainment bussiness, as not many Bollywood films are fortunate to release in this neighboring country inspite of having a strong fan-base. But the forthcoming films ‘Khoobsurat‘ and ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ has got the chance to hit the screens in Pakistan because of its Pakistani connect.
‘Khoobsurat‘ stuble man Fawad Khan and ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ sultry actress Humaima Malick belong to Pakistan. Thus, these films will hold special significance in all the Bollywood lovers residing there as their local actors are playing lead in it.
Fawad is quite excited to this “khoobsurat” move as he owes his career to Pakistani folks who have made him gain fame. At the same time, he feels lucky to register his debut with the remake of 1980s classic film ‘Khubsoorat‘ which orignally starred Rekha and Rakesh Roshan in the lead.
While, Humaima’s film is way more different than Fawad, where she plays a bar dancer opposite serial kisser Emraan Hashmi. If rumours are to be believed, then her intimate kisses will be edited to screen the film in Pakistan.
