Tom Cruise heading to Morocco for ‘Mission Impossible 5’

Rabat, Aug 13 (IANS/EFE) American actor Tom Cruise will arrive in Morocco in early September to play the starring role in “Mission: Impossible 5”, media reports said. The production teams of the hit saga are already in Morocco preparing the locations for this fifth episode, to be shot in Marrakesh, Rabat and Casablanca, Efe quoted the weekly TelQuel magazine as saying. In Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital, the district chosen for the shoot is the Jewish ghetto, or “mellah”, in the Old Medina quarter. Cruise will again play Ethan Hunt, while Jeremy Renner will repeat as William Brandt and Simon Pegg will be back as Benji Dumm, the weekly magazine said in a story posted on its web site.

Los Angeles, Aug 13 (IANS) Actress Julia Roberts, known for being one of the highest-paid actors in her prime, says she isn’t “ambitious”. The Hollywood’s “Pretty Woman”, who has twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, nine, and son Henry, seven, with husband Danny Moder, has never harboured a grudge against anyone who landed roles she wanted, even when she was struggling for her career to take off. After starring in “Pretty Woman” with Richard Gere, the 46-year-old struggled to match the success of the movie with her subsequent projects and went on to turn down a role that went on to do just as well as her breakout film, a part in “Sleepless in Seattle” which went to Meg Ryan.

Lauren Bacall, the sultry actress with the heavy-lidded eyes and husky voice who captured Humphrey Bogart’s heart both on and off the movie screen, died on Tuesdsay at the age of 89. “With deep sorrow, yet with great gratitude for her amazing life, we confirm the passing of Lauren Bacall,” the estate of the Bogart family said on a verified Twitter account. Bacall was married to Bogart from 1945 until his death in 1957. The public knew her as Lauren, the screen name hung on her by director Howard Hawks, while friends used her given name, Betty.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) — Authorities on Tuesday detailed how Robin Williams’ took his life, saying the actor and comedian hanged himself with a belt in a bedroom of his San Francisco Bay Area home.

He said that an outstanding parliamentarian, besides possessing these virtues in ample measure, is thoroughly familiar with the rules, procedures and precedents of the House and has the ability to use them deftly to his or her advantage.

New Delhi,Aug 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the combination of three qualities “Netritva, Kartutva, Vaktutva” – Leadership, Action and Speech – as essential in the making of an Outstanding Parliamentarian. Addressing the Outstanding Parliamentarian Awards function at the Balyogi Auditorium in Parliament Library here , the Prime Minister urged the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to convene a meeting of Speakers of all Vidhan Sabhas, so that the practice of awarding outstanding legislators could be extended to the states as well.
