SC dismisses plea against AG’s opinion on LOP issue
New Delhi, Aug. 8 (ANI): The Supreme Court has dismissed a plea against Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi’s opinion on the Leader of Opposition issue where the latter had stated that the Congress Party had no claim to the position in the Lok Sabha. Rohatgi had conveyed his views to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan after she had sought his opinion on the matter. There has been a tussle going on between the government and the Congress on the issue of Leader of the Opposition in the lower house of parliament ever since the 16th Lok Sabha came into its existence.

Dharmesh Tiwari cremated
Actor Dharmesh Tiwari was cremated Thursday at the Pawan-Hans crematorium in Vile Parle here.
“His cremation took place at 3.30 p.m. at Pawan Hans,” actor Raza Murad, a friend of the late actor, told IANS.
“Many people came to pay their last respects to Dharmesh at his residence where his body was kept,” he added.
Tiwari, who played Kripacharya in epic TV show “Mahabharat”, died Wednesday in Chandigarh, Punjab. He was 63.
Chiranjeevi confirms 150th film
Actor-politician Chiranjeevi has announced plans to start working on his 150th film this year. He also said he’s currently listening to various scripts.
Chiranjeevi confirmed the same Thursday on the Telugu version of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” titled “Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu“. He was invited as a special guest on the last episode of the show’s first season.
Ajaz Khan teams up with Sanjay Gupta
