Shilpa Shetty meets with an accident

Actress Shilpa Shetty met with an accident on September 25th, while she was on her way to Jalandhar, Punjab.

As per the sources, the incident took place at Dhilwan toll plaza in Kapurthala, Punjab when she heading to Jalandhar from Amritsar to attend the inaugural function of a store and her car got crashed with the other one. It was a minor accident, therefore it didn’t affect her much and she quickly left the spot. While, her bouncers continued to miff with other car’s driver.

We just hope her bouncers act won’t drag her into the new controversy now!

‘Welcome Back’ affects the filming of Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’ and ‘Mumbai Salsa’

John Abraham was supposed to star opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Jazbaa‘, but things didn’t work out and he was replaced by Irrfan Khan. And it seems karma has started showing its effect now, as the ‘Dhoom’ star switches the shooting dates of ‘Jazbaa‘ even without being part of it.

Though, John won’t be working with director Sanjay Gupta in ‘Jazbaa‘, he is part of his another film ‘Mumbai Saga‘ which also stars Anil Kapoor. Both John and Anil are busy these days with ‘Welcome Back‘ and don’t have spare dates till December. Therefore, Sanjay has now pushed the ‘Mumbai Saga‘ shoot to January and meanwhile he has planned to start with ‘Jazbaa‘ 40 days before its slated schedule.

As per the sources, Sanjay asked Aishwarya to begin the shoots earlier before its slated schedule and she readily agreed. But this rearrangement has disappointed Vivek Oberoi and Huma Qureshi as their allotted dates for ‘Mumbai Saga‘ will now go wasted.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali finds Bajirao’s mother in Tanvi Azmi

Beating number of her contemporary actresses, Tanvi Azmi makes her way to play Bajirao’s mother Radhabai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s upcoming film ‘Bajirao Mastani‘.

As per the sources, Tanvi wasn’t the original choice for Radhabai’s role. Veteran actresses Shabana Azmi, Supriya Pathak and Dimple Kapadia were considered for the role. But Bhansali ruled them out with the following reasons.

According to Bhansali, Shabana Azmi is an intimidating personality and wouldn’t suit the soft-notch requirement of the character. Next was Supriya Pathak, since he had already worked with her in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela‘, he was not keen in repeating the supporting cast. He rejected Dimple, because she has more of urbane personality to play a historical role.

Therefore, when Bhansali came across Tanvi, he made her undergo the compatibility test with Ranveer Singh to see their mother-son bond. She cleared the test and at last bagged the role of Bajirao’s mother Radhabai.

In an interview given to a leading electronic news channel Katrina when asked about Deepika’s cleavage controversy said, “Without saying anyone is right or anyone is wrong, actually I haven’t exactly gotten into the details of it…I do think that anything trying to exploit or show something in an unpleasant manner or make a spectacle of it, is not necessary. I think it is avoidable.”

Acting today no longer commands the same monetary benefits as it used to once upon a time. Unless you are a top bracket star (we are talking about the Khans, Kapoors, Roshans), you will paid a pittance for your time and effort as an actor. Even top stars earn much through profit sharing rather than their acting fees.
