Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor gets hospitalized

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor has been hospitalized to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital, after complaining the acute chest pain and breathlessness, yesterday.

After the initial check-up, doctor discovered the 76-year-old suffering from a chest infection. However, his condition is stable now; he is going through medication at the hospital.

The veteran star has the experience of working in over 160 films till date which includes ‘Deewaar‘, ‘Silsila‘ and ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram‘ to name a few. He is one of the very first Indian actors to work in the international cinema. He holds the credit of winning the National Award thrice in his career.

Shashi Kapoor hospitalised due to chest infection

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor was wheeled into Kokilaben Ambani hospital last evening after suffering from severe chest infection. The actor has been admitted to the ICU wing of the hospital and is being treated by top doctors.

Shashi, 76 who is today wheel-chair bound was rushed to the hospital after complaining of breathlessness and acute cough. Dr Ram Narain, Executive Director of the hospital was quoted saying, “Shashi Kapoor has been diagnosed with a chest infection. Although he is in the ICU for now, he is stable. We are administering him with antibiotics.”

Amit Shah calls Uddhav, says alliance must continue

BJP President Amit Shah called Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray Monday morning and urged him not to break the alliance, according to TV reports. “The alliance must continue,” Shah reportedly told Uddhav. He also told the Shiv Sena chief that his last proposal was not practical.
