Rashmi Gupta paired opposite Amit Bhanushali in Life OK’s Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali

Beautiful lady Rashmi Gupta, who will soon be seen in SAB TV’s third season of Gutur Gu, (Fireworks Productions) will also be creating magic in Rajshri Productions’ next, Mere Rang Mein Rangnewali on Life OK.

She will be paired opposite Amit Bhanushali, who has gained credible acclaim for his performance in the Marathi movie, Love Is Vaat.

As reported earlier, the show will feature a young love story with Samridh Bawa and Pranali Ghoghare in lead roles. Rashmi and Amit will be the second leads in the show and will be seen having some marital discords.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A surly electorate that holds Congress in even lower regard than unpopular President Barack Obama is willing to “keep the bums in,” with at least 365 incumbents in the 435-member House and 18 of 28 senators on a glide path to another term when ballots are counted Nov. 4.

Abdullah al-Thinni asked to form new Libyan government

Tripoli, Sep 1 (IANS) Libya’s newly-elected parliament Monday asked Abdullah al-Thinni to form a new government, a lawmaker said. In its meeting held in the eastern Libyan city of Tobruk, the secularist-dominated House of Representatives appointed al-Thinni as the new prime minister, Xinhua reported citing the unnamed lawmaker. He and his government resigned last week to pave the way for fresh prime ministerial elections in the new parliament. His position has been challenged by a rival parliament, the Islamist-dominated General National Congress (GNC), which refuses to recognise the House of Representatives.

Jenny McCarthy, Donnie Wahlberg married

Actor Donnie Wahlberg and model-TV host Jenny McCarthy have reportedly entered wedlock.

According to sources, the two made their relationship official by walking down the aisle Sunday at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois, outside McCarthy’s hometown of Chicago, reports people.com.

McCarthy wore a gown that she is said to have picked up at luxury goods department store Berdorf Goodman.

Campaign to save MAMI raises Rs 1.5 crore

Mumbai Film Fest (MFF) organisers have managed to raise Rs 1.5 crore of the Rs 5 crore budget with the aid of social media, which has helped them garner support of filmmakers including Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

With campaign #pledge4MAMI going viral, organisers are trying their best to ensure that the 16th edition of the fest features on the city’s cultural and festival calendar.

Cinestaan Film Company, promoted by Anand Mahindra and Rohit Khattar, has committed Rs.60 lakh to the fest, the future of which seemed bleak due to lack of sponsors and funds.
