After bypoll debacle, Shiv Sena tells BJP to stay grounded

The Shiv Sena Wednesday described the Sep 13 bypoll results as an “unexpected shock and surprise” and said there are lessons to be learnt from it for the forthcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Keep your feet on the ground and don’t indulge in sword-fights from the air… Otherwise, the people will skin you,” the party said in an oblique reference to ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in an edit in the party organ ‘Saamana’. The edit came a day after the BJP suffered a setback in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan bypolls. The Sena said that for the second time in two months, first in Bihar and now in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan, the BJP has suffered shocking reverses, and the surprise beneficiaries have been the Congress and the Samajwadi Party.

Salman Khan promises Suniel Shetty to launch his son Ahaan

Jacqueline Fernandez bags lead role opposite Tiger Shroff

Seeing her ‘Kick‘ success, choreographer turned director Remo wanted to cast Jacqueline for his next. When she learned about it, she instantly nodded “YES” without even listening the formal narration.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film revolves around high-octane action sequences intertwined by a passionate love story. The film will go on the floor after Remo is done with the filming of ‘ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2‘.

Akshara Haasan choreographs her own moves in ‘Shamitabh’

Shooting for next James Bond film starts in December

Shooting of the next James Bond film, the 24th installment of the popular spy series, will begin Dec 6 at Pinewood Studios near London, Variety reported.

Sam Mendes is back to direct the new film following his work on the hugely successful “Skyfall” (2012).

Daniel Craig will once again play Agent 007 in the new installment, starring in his fourth Bond flick after his turns in “Casino Royale” (2006), “Quantum of Solace” (2008) and “Skyfall”.

Rounding out the main cast are Ralph Fiennes as “M”, Naomie Harris as “Eve Moneypenny”, and Ben Whishaw as “Q”.

I'm fine, says Kamal Haasan from hospital

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan, who was admitted to hospital following a bout of food poisoning, says he’s fine and that there’s no “cause for alarm”.

“I know a lot of people would like to make a drama out of this. Sorry to disappoint them. I am fine. It’s just a simple case of food poisoning. No cause for alarm,” Kamal said over phone from a private hospital in Chennai.

After Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s flash-visit to Chennai Monday, on Tuesday, Chennai was abuzz with reports of Kamal’s hospitalisation.

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcome a baby girl

Actors Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling became first-time parents last week when the Latina gave birth to a baby girl, the US Weekly has reported.

Mendes, 40, and Gosling, 33, have had a romantic relationship since they acted together in the 2011 film, “The Place Beyond the Pines”.

The couple is known for their discretion, even about her pregnancy, which she went so far as to deny on a television programme last February.

In 2009, when she was in a relationship with producer George Gargurevich, Mendes told Efe news agency that tying the knot was not in her plans.
