These days Bollywood films are seeing golden days at the international box office. Recently, Sridevi‘s comeback film ‘English Vinglish‘ released in Japan and now one more Hindi film is on the way. After winning the hearts of all in India, the 2012 super hit ‘Barfi!‘ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’cruz will release in Japan, as per the report.
‘Barfi!‘ has already won accolades in the nations like China, Turkey, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. The film will now entertain the Japanese audience. The Vice-President and Head (Marketing and Distribution) – Studio, Disney India, Amrita Pandey stated that they are looking forward to release ‘Barfi!‘ in Japan, especially post winning the Grand Jury Award at the esteemed Okinawa Film Festival in Japan. Pandey revealed that “It’s always a great feeling when our movies get appreciated even in non-traditional markets. We have in fact worked closely with the distributors to put together a trailer and art work specially to address the Japanese sensibilities and emotions.”
Six Japanese cities like Osaka, Tokyo, Nagoya, Yokohama, Fukuoka and Kyoto will see the film ‘Barfi!‘ releasing in 10 screens, reportedly.
