India’s Bhajan King Anup Jalota will soon be seen donning the ‘khaki’ for Kawal Sharma’s Black Birthday. Taking a break from singing, Anup will be dabbling into acting with this movie.
Talking about why he chose to cast Anup Jalota as a police officer, director Kawal Sharma says, ” Anupji has the image of a singer and I want to give my audience that element of surprise by portraying him as a police officer. And it is only when I shot with him that I realised his intensity for acting. No one has really seen him act. So Anupji will be the surprise element of my movie.”
