Nepal lawmakers underline need for debate on Indian power cooperation proposal

Kathmandu, July 25 (ANI): Members of Nepal’s Parliament have stressed on the need for a thorough discussion on the Indian Government’s proposal of developing Nepal’s hydro-power sector. Kamal Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal said it is necessary to make the visit of the Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj beneficial for both countries. Likewise, C P Mainali of the CPN-ML drew the government’s attention to making Swaraj’s Nepal visit successful and added that the government should start talks with all political parties on this.
