New Delhi, August 4 (ANI): Congress leader Manish Tewari, today indicated that quid-pro quo should be maintained, by ensuring equal rights were given to Indian citizens, while referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly showing his willingness to re-negotiate the1950 India-Nepal Friendship Treaty. “If at all the reports that has been published are correct that the prime minister has told the Government of Nepal that he is prepared to renegotiate the 1950 treaty, then what must be ensured is that the preferential treatment which is given to Nepalese citizens in India, similar treatment is also accorded to Indian citizens in Nepal.
