Mohamed Morsi is the current president of Egypt. He was born on 20 August 1951 in Sharqia Governorate (Northern Egypt). He was chairman of Freedom and Justice Party of Egypt untill he became president of Egypt. He is closely related to Muslim Brotherhood organisation. He was Member of Egypt’s Parliament from 2000 to 2005, he was elected as independent candidate as Muslim Brotherhood was barred to participate in elections under Hosni Mubarak.
Professionally Morsi is a educationist. He worked as Assistant Professor at California State University, Northridge from 1982 till 1985. In 1985 he returned to Egypt to teach at Zagazig University.
