New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): The National Students Union of India (NSUI) today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi in support of the UPSC candidates who are opposing CSAT in their exams. Kathmandu, July 26 (ANI): Visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is reportedly busy holding parleys with leaders of various Nepalese political parties.

Kathmandu, July 26 (IANS) The third meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission at the foreign minstry-level started here Saturday after a hiatus of 23 years. Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who arrived in Kathmandu Friday evening, jointly inaugurated the meeting with her Nepali counterpart, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey. Syed Akbaruddin, spokesman of the Indian external affirs ministry, said that the two sides were working to establish an Eminent Persons Group (EPG) to look into the potential of growth in bilateral relations. The meeting will also focus on the line of credit from India’s EXIM Bank, cooperation in agricultural development, mid-hill highway in the eastern sector, including Sikkim link near Chiyo Bhanjyang, widening of East-West Highway, construction of a bridge over Mahakali river at Mahendranagar, a suspension bridge at Dadeldhura, postal highway and feeder roads, the first and second phases of a rail rail, rolling stock for railways, a and a cricket stadium in Pokhara.

Congress high command announced Kishore Upadhyay as new chief of Uttarakhand congress replacing incumbent Yashpal Arya. After the declaration of election results Kishore Upadhyay said,” this is a big achievement as congress party has won in 3 of the 5 seats that it had lost during lok Sabha elections held two months back.” Upadyay also said,” now people of devbhumi , ganga blessed land, and the land which is home to holy places like kedarnath, badrinath, yamunotri, gangotri and hemkunt sahib, have finally realized and noticed the work done by our party” While speaking with ANI he said,” Our (congress party’s) main problem is that we don’t indulge in self-praising or promoting the work we do unlike other parties.
