Criminal complaint lodged against Ram Gopal Varma for his derogatory comments on Lord Ganesha

Ram Gopal Varma’s penchant to put his foot in his mouth has landed him in trouble once again. Viveck Shettyy, Managing Director, Indus communications and Head of Media Cell, CGSI (Consumer Guidance Society of India) has lodged a criminal complaint under sections 295-A, 505 OF IPC against the maverick director in the Metropolitian Magistrate’s Court at Andheri for passing obscene comments and observations against Lord Ganesha on Twitter.

Bipasha shoots with Kapil Sharma in Dubai

Actress Bipasha Basu, who has been on a whirlwind promotional spree for her film “Creature 3D”, shot with comedy king Kapil Sharma for his special episode in Dubai. She says it was “super fun”.

“Comedy Nights With Kapil, Dubai special! #creature3d integration! Wearing a beautiful Sonaakshi Raaj…,” Bipasha tweeted along with a photograph of herself decked up for the hit show.

Kapil, along with other actors of his show, has taken the much-loved show for a special episode in Dubai on public demand. He loved having Bipasha over.

Assistant Director turned actor Mohsin Khan is excted about his role in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins

Mohsin Khan, the young lad who has recently entered Star Plus’ Nisha Aur Uske Cousins as the NRI brother of Dolly’s would-be-groom is excited about his role in the show.

The guy who is an engineer chose to follow his dream of becoming an actor. Says Mohsin, “I was initially a model, and have worked in quite a lot of commercial ads.”

But it was as an Assistant Director that Mohsin got his first big break. He was the second Assistant Director in the movie Koyelaanchal.

Delhi deadlock: Manish Tewari demands fresh polls

New Delhi, Sept. 6 (ANI): Amid speculations that Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung may invite the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form the government in Delhi, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Saturday said fresh polls should take place in the national capital. “Well, the fact is that the BJP was the single largest party even on day one. So, therefore, they could have formed the government even then, and if the BJP is not scared of going to the people, then why doesn’t the Lieutenant Governor recommend to the Election Commission that elections in Delhi should be held along with elections in the rest of the states,” said Tewari.

India committed to bring back growth, Sushma Swaraj tells Bahrain

Bahrain, Sept. 6 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that the government in New Delhi led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is firmly committed to bring back growth and have clear policies, which will facilitate business environment, transparency and speed. Indian economy has bounced back to record a growth rate of 5.7 percent for the April-June quarter, highest in the past two-and-half years.

By Christina Farr SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Apple Inc has invited top fashion editors and bloggers in unprecedented numbers to its Tuesday launch gala, further evidence that the iPhone maker is preparing to take the wraps off a smartwatch. Apple is forging closer ties to the fashion world as it plots its foray into the fertile field of wearable technology, trying to win over a critical crowd that may prove crucial to the success of consumer gadgets worn around the body. Several fashion media editors told Reuters they received invitations for the first time to an annual September product-launch, which they took as confirmation of a wristwatch in the wings. “This suggests Apple is serious about tapping into the fashion world, which often sits on the sidelines.” Apple declined to comment.

‘Finding Fanny’ virgin controversy gets solved

Few days back, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) told director Homi Adajania that if he wants his upcoming film ‘Finding Fanny‘ to get U/A, he has to trim off the vulgar dialogue- “I am a virgin” said by Deepika Padukone in the film.

Though deleting the dialogue wasn’t a big deal for the makers, ‘Finding Fanny‘ team was confused by this contradictory action because the line has been passed earlier in the trailers. Their confusion has now been solved by the Chairperson of CBFC Leela Samson who has approved the “virgin” line and now it’s back in the film.

Homi confirmed the news stating that they were not objecting to the cut, but were confused by CBFC’s demand. Therefore, he mailed the case to the chairperson Leela Samson, as per the sources.

Leela’s take on this was if the committee has passed it earlier then the continuation should be maintained. And she cited this as the mistake of the committee.

Deepika Padukone gives badminton lessons to Arjun Kapoor

‘Finding Fanny‘ couple Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor is all over the places to promote their upcoming film. While promotions are usually hectic for many stars, this duo ended up having fun at their latest promotion on a reality show ‘Cinestars Ki Khoj’.

Daughter of renowned champion Prakash Padukone, Deepika gave badminton lessons to Arjun. Even though she was draped in an ornate red saree, she played the game pretty well. No wonders, she has it in her genes!

Deepika and Arjun gave their well wishes to all the contestants and also shake their leg on the song “Shake your Bootiya on the floor”.

Directed by Homi Adajania, ‘Finding Fanny‘ will hit the theatres on September 12.
