Blood of badminton champion Prakash Padukone running in her veins, how can actress Deepika Padukone keep herself away from the game. Recently, she was spotted playing badminton on the sets of her upcoming film ‘Piku‘.

Deepika herself is a national-level badminton player and has flaunted her gaming skills right in her debut film ‘Om Shanti Om’. She again took racket in her hand on the film set, but this time it wasn’t for the shoot but to charge herself free from her tiring schedule, Dippy took up the game. Crew members were astonished to see a sportswoman in the actress.

Piku‘ revolves around father-daughter relationship, also starring Amitabh Bachchan as Dippy’s father.

Veteran actress Tanuja gets Hospitalized

Veteran actress Tanuja was spotted at the inaugural eve of Kolkata International Film Festival, where she underwent minor breathing issues and had to rush hospital, last night.

Tanuja attended the event along with her contemporaries Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri. She received a warm welcome from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, followed by this she was made to launch a Bengali music CD. Later, she headed to the dinner party of Kolkata International Film Festival and started feeling uneasy. She was rushed to the hospital, however now her condition is stable.

Tanuja was amongst the reigning actresses of late 1960s with the films like ‘Jewel Thief‘, ‘Haathi Mere Saathi‘ and ‘Anubhav‘.

Visa complications put ‘Any Body Can Dance-2’ on halt

Remo D’Souza‘s ‘ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2‘ is in trouble once again. First of all, the block occurred when the lead actors Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor got injured while practicing the strenuous dancing steps. And now the film is facing the untimely delay due to the visa issues.

The story of ‘ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2‘ has been inspired from the life of a lower middle-class boy Suresh, whose talent and will power won him applause on the stage of Las Vegas, while he and his team were competing with several other international dancers. To shoot this special sequence, Remo’s team was supposed to head to Las Vegas, but then the visa complications came in light putting ‘ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2‘ on hold.

The shoots are likely to begin from the end of December onwards when the entire cast and crew will be granted the US visa.

Salman Khan offers Bigg Boss 8’s evicted contestant Sushant Divgikar a chance to sing in his film

Reportedly, the “Big Boss” of Bollywood Salman asked Sushant to sing a song for the in-house contestants, while leaving the show. So he melodiously sang a duet “Jaane Jaa” on the stage. Feeling the sensuality of his voice, Salman offered him a chance to sing in his film.

Sushant holds the merit of being first ever contestant from India to participate in Mr. Gay World and was even amongst top 10 finalists at the pageant held in Rome.

The Bachchans and Shah Rukh Khan inaugrate Kolkatta International Film Festival

Bollywood’s prominent Bachchan family comprising megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, together studded the inaugural eve of Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), draped in uttariyas (stoles) gifted by Mamta Banerjee. Joining them in black tuxedo, Shah Rukh Khan attended the event, being the brand ambassador of Kolkata state.

The event began with SRK and Big B lighting the ceremonial lamp in assistance of actress Raima Sen. Aishwarya released the official brochure of the fest, voicing her words of gratitude in Bengali. Followed by, veteran actresses Tanuja and Jaya Bachchan launching the music CD of Bengali music.

Actor Irrfan Khan, Australian filmmaker Paul Cox, noted Bengali actor and many other international delegates marked their presence at the KIFF.

Total 137 films from over 60 countries will be screened at the film fest.

KILL DIL: Ranveer was once popular as ‘Junior Govinda’

Ranveer Singh is a self-claimed Govinda fan and getting a chance of working with him in his upcoming film ‘Kill Dil‘ is like a dream come true for him.

In the recent media interaction, Ranveer cited that he has grown up watching Govinda‘s films and is huge fan of his “No. 1” series. Belonging to 90’s childhood, Ranveer had a collection of his songs and used to dress up like him. This made him popular in his school with the name of “Junior Govinda“.

A source revealed that Ranveer made Govinda‘s last day special on ‘Kill Dil‘ sets. As the young actor played chartbuster tracks like “Meri Pant Bhi Sexy”, “Raste Se Ja Raha Tha” and “Hero No.1” amongst many others, and made everyone on the set dance the way legendary Govinda does it. It was a memorable night for the whole team.

Directed by Shaad Ali, ‘Kill Dil‘ will hit the theatres on November 14.

Aamir Khan unveils first song Tharki Chokro from ‘PK’

After delighting you with its exciting series of posters, ‘PK‘ team unveiled its first ever song “Tharki Chokro” in Delhi.

“Tharki Chokro” is a peppy Rajasthani track sung by Indian Idol Season 5’s singing sensation Swaroop Khan. He was the star of the music launch as he dazzled the eve signing the song. He had adorned colourful Rajasthani turban with a designer jacket and denim. In his media interaction, he cited that it’s a dream come true to sing a song in an Aamir Khan film.
