The serial kisser of Bollywood, Emraan Hashmi is set to don the hat of a conman once again after the film ‘Ghanchakkar‘ in his upcoming release ‘Raja Natwarlal‘. The actor flaunts funky conman look with flashy shades and style.

It seems Enraan has come up with a different strategy to promote his flick and going by the latest report, Emraan Hashmi will watch ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ with rickshawallahs at Chandan theatre on August 23. By looking at its promos, one can guess that ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ is a typical Bollywood masala entertainer and a con-revenge drama. Emraan gives credit to the rickshawallahs for his stardom.

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, the film ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ also features Humaima Malick and releases on August 29.

First Day Box Office Collection of ‘Mardaani’

The action-drama ‘Singham Returns‘ released in last week is still ruling at the box office and August 22 saw one more action-drama ‘Mardaani‘ hitting the silver screens. This production venture by Yash Raj Films featured Rani Mukherjee as fierce Crime Branch officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. The movie was successfully promoted in various social platforms and was expected to do well at the ticket window.

The real scene was different than the expected one, as ‘Mardaani‘ had a low start on its opening day, as per the report. The occupancy recorded by the film on day one was merely 15 to 20%. The film received lukewarm response in Mumbai, South, North and Central India. The evening shows are anticipated to have better picture at cinema halls.

Apart from gaining applause for stellar performance of Rani Mukherjee and multiple positive reviews from the critics, the film needs to have a powerful push. ‘Mardaani‘ directed by Pradeep Sarkar, is expected to collect 3.90 to 4 crore nett approximately on the first day of its release.

Mad About Dance‘, ‘Life Is Beautiful!‘, ‘Katiyabaaz‘ and ‘Mumbhai Connection‘ were the other releases on August 22. They proved a complete washout and had very limited shows only in the multiplexes.

Sonakshi Sinha and Yo Yo Honey Singh sizzle in ‘Desi Kalakaar’

The shotgun junior Sonakshi Sinha grooved on a party number “Party All Night” on the tunes of the rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh in the film ‘Boss‘. And once again, the actress will be seen sharing the screen space with the rapper. Sonakshi Sinha will feature in the next music album of Yo Yo Honey Singh, reportedly. A sneak peek from the album is out now and shows Sonakshi and the rapper Singh in a funky pose.

Also a solo picture of Sonakshi from the album’s teaser is unveiled and gives a glimpse of Sonakshi’s look in it. The first snap shows the sizzling duo in a high speed car chase and helicopters and police cars trailing hovering over them. Sonakshi flaunts her glam look in the song, while Yo Yo Honey Singh sports a rugged look with his trademark glares.

‘Barfi!’ hits the screens in Japan

These days Bollywood films are seeing golden days at the international box office. Recently, Sridevi‘s comeback film ‘English Vinglish‘ released in Japan and now one more Hindi film is on the way. After winning the hearts of all in India, the 2012 super hit ‘Barfi!‘ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’cruz will release in Japan, as per the report.

Barfi!‘ has already won accolades in the nations like China, Turkey, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. The film will now entertain the Japanese audience. The Vice-President and Head (Marketing and Distribution) – Studio, Disney India, Amrita Pandey stated that they are looking forward to release ‘Barfi!‘ in Japan, especially post winning the Grand Jury Award at the esteemed Okinawa Film Festival in Japan. Pandey revealed that “It’s always a great feeling when our movies get appreciated even in non-traditional markets. We have in fact worked closely with the distributors to put together a trailer and art work specially to address the Japanese sensibilities and emotions.”

Six Japanese cities like Osaka, Tokyo, Nagoya, Yokohama, Fukuoka and Kyoto will see the film ‘Barfi!‘ releasing in 10 screens, reportedly.

‘Bombay Velvet’ to hit the screens in May 2015

Anurag Kashyap‘s forthcoming directorial ‘Bombay Velvet‘ is much awaited over its piping hot news update. The fresh report revealed that the release of ‘Bombay Velvet‘ has been postponed to May 2015. The film was slated to hit the screens earlier on November 28.

The reason behind postponing its release is a lot of VFX work that is pending. The director Anurag intends to recreate Bombay of the 60s era as the story of the film is of that time. The huge post production work, which is about to be done, is expected to continue till January, as per the report.
