New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi have approached the Delhi High Court to challenge the summons issued to them in a matter of them misusing party funds to pay off debts accrued by the now defunct National Herald newspaper several years ago. A lower court had on June 26 summoned Sonia and her son Rahul and three others to answer allegations that they used their leadership of the Congress Party to misuse about USD 15 million dollars of party funds for personal profit. Yesterday, the head of the Congress Party’s legal and human rights department, K.C. Mittal, said two separate petitions have been filed in this regard.
